Automatic search indexing

Keeps the storefront search index up to date automatically, so that product changes appear in search results without anyone having to rebuild the index by hand.

Settings

• Index Products Every - how often the index is refreshed. A shorter interval means catalogue changes show up in search sooner, at the cost of more frequent indexing.

How to Configure Automatic Indexing

1. Select the store you would like to update

2. Click on Manage Store Settings underneath Settings

3. Open Catalogue & Products

4. Open the Automatic search indexing section

5. Set how often products are indexed

6. Save your changes

If you have just made a large catalogue change and do not want to wait for the next run, you can index a store immediately from System > Search Indexing.
