Individual form fields

Controls which details an individual customer is asked for when registering, and which of those they must complete before registration succeeds.

Every field you make required is another step between a visitor and an account, so it is worth asking only for what you genuinely need. Details you need to fulfil an order can be collected at checkout instead.

How It Works

Each field has two controls:

• Whether the field is shown on the registration form at all.

• Whether the field is required, meaning registration cannot be completed without it.

How to Update Individual Form Fields

1. Click on the store you want to update

2. Click on Manage Store Settings underneath Settings

3. Open Customer Accounts & Sign-Up

4. Open the Individual form fields section

5. Switch on the fields you want shown on the registration form

6. For each field shown, choose whether it is required to complete registration

7. Save your changes

8. Open your storefront's registration page to confirm the form matches what you set
