# Login

Controls how returning customers sign in, and matters most to merchants running more than one store. You can decide whether a customer who registered on one of your stores can use the same details on the others.

This is a judgement call. Sharing logins is more convenient for customers who buy from several of your stores. Keeping them separate means customers cannot tell that your stores are connected, which is often what you want where the brands are positioned independently.

### Settings

* **Restrict Login** - only allow customers who signed up on this store to log in. Switch this on to keep each store's customer base separate.
* **Force Corporate Login** - only allow corporate logins, so individual accounts cannot sign in to this store.
* **Hide Account Switch** - hides the account switch on the storefront, so customers are not shown the option to move between accounts.

### How to Update Your Login Settings

1. Select the store you want to update
2. Click on Manage Store Settings underneath Settings
3. Open Customer Accounts & Sign-Up
4. Open the Login section
5. Switch the settings on or off as required
6. Save your changes
7. Sign in to your storefront as a test customer to confirm the behaviour

{% hint style="warning" %}
Switching Restrict Login on affects existing customers. Anyone who registered on a different one of your stores will no longer be able to sign in here.
{% endhint %}
