# Catalogue privacy

Hides prices, or the catalogue itself, from visitors who are not signed in. This is how a merchant runs a trade or wholesale store where pricing should not be public, while still having a storefront that anyone can find.

### Settings

* **Login for prices** - when switched on, product prices are only shown to shoppers who have signed in. Visitors can still browse the catalogue.
* **Login for catalogue** - when switched on, the products themselves are only shown to shoppers who have signed in.

### Choosing Between Them

Hiding prices alone keeps your catalogue visible to search engines and lets new customers see what you sell before requesting an account. Hiding the whole catalogue is more private, but it also means search engines cannot index your products.

### How to Configure Catalogue Privacy

1. Select the store you would like to configure
2. Click on Manage Store Settings underneath Settings
3. Open Security & Privacy
4. Open the Catalogue privacy section
5. Choose whether prices, products, or both require a sign-in
6. Save your changes
