# CDN

A content delivery network, or CDN, serves your store's images, styles and scripts from servers close to each shopper rather than from a single location. The result is a faster storefront, particularly for shoppers far from where your store is hosted.

This is an optional setting. If you do not use a CDN, leave these fields empty and your store serves its own assets.

### Settings

* **CDN URL** - the address your assets are served from.
* **Bucket Name** - the storage bucket holding the assets.
* **Region** - the region the bucket is hosted in.
* **Access Key** and **Secret Key** - the credentials used to upload assets.

### How to Configure a CDN

1. Select the store you would like to update
2. Click on Manage Store Settings underneath Settings
3. Open Store Identity
4. Open the CDN section
5. Enter the details supplied by your CDN provider
6. Save your changes

{% hint style="warning" %}
The access key and secret key give write access to your asset storage. Keep them secure and do not share them outside your team.
{% endhint %}
