# Third-Party Stock Checks at Checkout

Checkout can now check stock through a connected third-party app when one is installed, in addition to the built-in stock check.

**This includes:**

* Checks stock via connected third-party app when installed
* Continues to use the built-in stock check

**How it benefits the Merchant**

* Reduces overselling risk by validating stock against a connected third-party inventory app at checkout
* Goes beyond the built-in stock count alone
