# Clearer Error Messages in the AI Content Generator

Previously, when something went wrong while using the **AI content generator**, shoppers or admins only saw a **generic error message**. This made it difficult to understand what failed or what needed to be fixed.

The error handling has now been improved so the system shows **more descriptive, user‑friendly error messages** whenever an issue occurs while generating AI content.

**Benefits for you**

* Your content and marketing teams get **clearer feedback** when AI content generation fails.
* Faster troubleshooting, because the error message gives better clues about the cause (for example configuration, connectivity, or rules).
* Less back‑and‑forth with support and reduced downtime when using AI to generate product descriptions, content blocks, or page copy.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.storefront.co.za/release-notes/enhancements/2026-enhancements/janruary-2026-enhamcements/clearer-error-messages-in-the-ai-content-generator-1.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
