V8.000.002 - V8.000.009 - the first month of fixes after launch

The first month after launch, focused on settling the new platform in. The most visible change for merchants was that customisations made in the back office now appear on the storefront immediately.

In this release: New features - Enhancements

New features

• Storefront event framework - a way for developers to hook into storefront actions such as adding a product to the cart, so custom behaviour can be attached without altering the theme.

Enhancements

• Back office changes apply immediately - customisations made in the back office now show on the storefront straight away, rather than waiting for a cache to clear.

• Cookie consent - fixed the consent banner appearing twice.

• Mobile header - tidied the mobile menu by removing duplicate account and sign-out entries.

• Product pricing display - fixed variants showing the wrong price where tax settings applied.

• Sign-in options - social sign-in is now hidden when it has not been configured, rather than showing an option that does not work.

• Back office styling - improved the presentation of the price list table and the variant panel on the product screen.
