# Disable Checkout button after first click (Core)

The Place Order button now disables immediately after the first click and shows a loading spinner, preventing shoppers from double-clicking and failing their order partway through.

**This includes:**

* Place Order button disables after first click
* Loading spinner shown while processing

**How it benefits the Merchant**

Reduces failed or duplicate orders caused by accidental double-clicking, protecting revenue and improving checkout completion rates.

**Potential FAQs**

Q: Do I need to configure this behavior?

A: No — it applies automatically to the checkout Place Order button.

Q: Could this cause valid orders to appear stuck?

A: The button shows a loading spinner during processing, which is expected behavior, not a stuck state.
