# New checkout webhooks for real‑time integrations

We’ve added a set of checkout webhooks so your other systems can react in real time while a customer is checking out.

**What’s new**

A single group of new checkout webhooks that fire when:

* A customer selects a **payment method**
* A customer selects a **shipping method**
* A customer confirms their **shipping address**

**What it means for you**

You can now:

* Send payment, shipping and address selections directly to your ERP, WMS, courier or analytics tools.
* Prioritise internal workflows (e.g. fast‑track express shipping orders or flag COD orders for review).
* Run address or fraud checks before the order is fully placed.

**Business benefits**

* Better visibility of customer choices during checkout.
* Smoother automation between your store and external systems.
* Fewer manual steps and reduced risk on high‑risk payment or delivery options.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://support.storefront.co.za/release-notes/new-features/2025-new-features/november-2025-new-features/new-checkout-webhooks-for-real-time-integrations.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
