# Longer Data Transfer File Names

You can now give Data Transfer Files and profiles longer, more descriptive names.

**This includes:**

* Data Transfer File names can now be longer than before.
* Data Transfer Profile names can now be longer than before.

**How it benefits the Merchant**

Previously, longer names for data transfer files and profiles could be cut short or fail to save. You can now name them more descriptively without hitting that limit.
