# New Store Settings Experience

Store Settings has been reorganised into nine clearly named categories, each with a short description on every setting.

**This includes:**

* Settings grouped into nine categories: Store Identity, Customer Accounts & Sign-Up, Shopping Experience, Catalogue & Products, Orders, Notifications & Email, Security & Privacy, Marketing & Growth and Image Sizes
* A short description under every category and every individual setting, explaining what it does
* Clearer names in place of technical wording, so settings are described in the terms merchants use
* Only the settings for the category you open are loaded, so the page responds faster

**How it benefits the Merchant**

Store Settings covers a great deal of ground, and previously finding the right setting often meant knowing where it happened to live. Settings are now grouped by what they affect, and each one explains itself, so you can change something confidently without having to ask what it does.

**Potential FAQs**

Q: Have any of my settings changed?

A: No. Your existing configuration is untouched. Only the way settings are grouped and described has changed.

Q: I cannot find a setting where it used to be. Where do I look?

A: Settings now sit under the category that describes what they affect. Checkout and cart settings are under Shopping Experience, sign-up and login settings under Customer Accounts & Sign-Up, and tracking and search engine settings under Marketing & Growth.

Q: Does this apply to every store?

A: Yes, and settings remain held per store, so each of your stores is still configured separately.
